Ferris State Topples
Cardinals
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University
volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Ferris State University
on Friday (October 3). The Bulldogs won by scores of 30-17, 30-22,
and 30-15.
Junior Megan Pendleton
(Belding, Mich.) recorded six kills to lead the Cardinals
in defeat, while freshman Rachel Pelhank (Temperance,
Mich./Bedford HS) had a team-high seven digs for the match.
Ferris State’s Karla Fairbanks
recorded a match-high ten kills, while Danielle Baucher followed
up with nine kills. Ashley Green had a match-high 22 assists,
while Brittny Godlewski recorded a match-high twelve digs.
SVSU falls to 2-14 (0-7 GLIAC) on
the season, while Ferris State ups their record to 7-9 (4-2 GLIAC).
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday (October 4) at home
against Grand Valley State University. The match is set to begin
at 4:00p.m.
