Chargers Spike Cardinals

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Lady Cardinals dropped their third-straight GLIAC match, falling 3-1 to Hillsdale College on Saturday (Sept. 21). Game scores were 27-30, 30-22, 30-27, 30-20.
    The Cardinals fall to 4-11 on the season, 0-3 in GLIAC play while the Chargers are 11-5 overall, 1-2 in league action.
    Senior Jamie Reed (Saginaw, Mich./Heritage HS) guided the team with 34 assists, while pouring in 18 digs, while junior Valarie Lyczkowski (Temperance, Mich./Bedford HS) finished with 11 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore Kelly Samalik (Freeland, Mich.) slammed 11 kills. Karin Poschke set a game-high 54 assists and tallied 13 digs to lead the Chargers.
    Saginaw Valley State is back in action Friday night (Sept. 27), when the Cardinals visit Grand Valley at 7:00 p.m.
