Cardinals Suffer 3-1 Defeat

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley fell 3-1 to Gannon in GLIAC action on Saturday (October 19). Game scores were 30-26, 30-27, 31-33, 30-16. SVSU is now 5-20 (1-12 GLIAC) for the season, while the Knights improved to 11-8 (7-5).     Despite the loss sophomore Kelly Stoltz (New Stanton, Pa.) posted 15 kills and 20 digs. Junior Valarie Lyczkowski (Temperance, Mich./Bedford HS) tallied 11 kills and 12 digs and senior Jamie Reed (Saginaw, Mich./Heritage HS) added 9 kills and 19 digs.
    As a team Gannon hit .223, while SVSU only hit .185. The Cardinals recorded 13.5 blocks, while the Knights notched 7.5.
    Saginaw Valley State will host Northwood on Tuesday (Oct. 22), at 7:00 p.m.
