Track & Field and Cross Country: Assistant Coaches

 Coach Bellsky Jenny Bellsky competed for four and a half years in cross country and track & field at SVSU. She was awarded the Most Outstanding Freshman award as well as the Most Improved Runner and Most Dedicated Runner awards during her collegiate career.

During her last year at SVSU, Jenny served as captain of both the cross country and track & field teams. She was also a member of the GLIAC All-Academic team and made the Dean’s List for five semesters. Jenny graduated from SVSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics.

Bellsky is a graduate of Frankenmuth High School where she competed at the varsity level for four years in cross country and track & field. She was awarded Academic All-State for three years in cross country and was All-State in the 800 meters for track. She was a state qualifier seven out of eight possible times and was also undefeated in the Tri Valley Conference in the 800 and 1600 meter runs for two years.
 Ed Skrelunas

 Ed Skrelunas has joined the SVSU coaching staff for the current season after retiring as principal of Clio High School. Skrelunas has served as head coach for track & field and cross country at Bridgeport High School, Warren Lincoln High School, Freeland High School and Clio High School. From 1977-83 he served as a part-time assistant coach at Saginaw Valley State University. During this time he was involved in recruiting and coaching over 40 student-athletes who earned All-American honors in NAIA. The track and cross country teams gained national recognition during this time winning the NAIA National Indoor Track Championship in 1982 and 1983.

Skrelunas earned a Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University and a Master's Degree from Michigan State University. Skrelunas resides in Saginaw.
