   Coach Lane begins her second season behind the controls of the Saginaw Valley State University softball program.
   Lane served as the assistant coach at Edinboro University (Pa.) for two seasons prior to landing at University Center. In addition to her coaching
duties, Lane coordinated the off-season conditioning program and had been instrumental to the team’s recruiting efforts.
   Before her tenure at Edinboro, Lane served as an assistant coach to the Danish National Team during the 2001 European Championships. While in Denmark, she also worked as the head coach of the Ballerup Softball Klub.
   Lane started for four years at Gannon University (1997-2001), where she played both catcher and third base. The Golden Knights qualified for the NCAA playoffs in 1999, while her team carried the highest grade point average in the nation during the 2000 season.
    A graduate of Gannon University, Lane earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology/pre-physical therapy. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Edinboro University in May of 2003, focusing on gender communication, small group communication and conflict management.
