Looking
for another strong season on the mound for SVSU…2004 –
Earned her first letter…earned NFCA Great Lakes All-Region honors…compiled
a team-best 8-3 record…had a team-best 1.23 ERA…struck
out 62 batters on the year…opponents recorded only a .200 batting
average against her…allowed only 15 earned runs on the year…had
a season-best nine strikeouts against Northwood University (4-8-04)…threw
one-hitters against both Point Park College (2-29-04) and Quincy (3-28-04)…had
five sacrifice bunts on the year…had a double against Point
Park College (2-29-04)…recorded two hits and an RBI against
Notre Dame College (3-1-04)…Prep – Played for the Guelph
Gators in the summer for coach Dave Vallance…team compiled a
57-9 record in 2003…batted .363 and also sported an 8-1 record
in 60 innings on the mound…won national silver medal…also
participated in hockey as a left winger…named co-captain for
her softball squad…Personal – Majoring in health and physical education…daughter of Allen and Marilyn Rice…born 2/21/85. |
