Cards Split With Wayne State

UNIVERSITY CENTER- Today the Cardinals of Saginaw Valley State University split two games with the visiting Warriors of Wayne State University. The first game ended with a final score of 3-0 in favor of the Cardinals. SVSU in the second game lost by the score of 7-3.

In the first game the Cardinals hit the ball well and played tough defense.

Getting the win in the first game for SVSU was junior Carrie Shay (Flint/Burton Bendle).Her record improves to 4-9.

In the second game the Cardinals jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead but then committed costly errors to let the Warriors take control of the game.

Coutney Pintek (Flushing) received the loss for the Cardinals. Her record falls to 7-4 on the season.

The two wins move the Cardinals to 15-23 overall and 7-9 in GLIAC play.

The Cardinals will be in action again tomorrow when they will host Gannon University at Morely Field at Sagianw Valley for two games. Game time is noon.
