Cardinals Split
with Madonna

UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI – The Saginaw Valley State
University Cardinal Softball team split two games of a double
header today with Madonna University.
Saginaw Valley lost the first game to Madonna University
3-5.
Freshman Christina Fuciarelli (Washington/Harper
Woods Regina) got the loss for SVSU. Fuciarelli walked one and
struck out two. Her season record falls to 1-5.
Junior Becky Bourcier (Montrose) had a double and
a RBI. Junior Whitney Babcock (Bay City/All Saints) had one run
at two trips to the plate.
Saginaw Valley won the second game 12-4.
Fuciarelli was able to get the win for the Lady
Cardinals, giving up four runs and walking one. Her season record
improves to 2-5.
Leading the way for SVSU was freshman Jesse Kaniszewski
(Kingston) with two run on four hits. Junior Brandi Srda (Clio)
had two runs at three trips to the plate. Freshman Leya Taylor
(Saginaw/Michigan Lutheran Seminary) chipped in with three runs
on three trips to the plate.
The Lady Cardinal season record is now 17-24-1 overall
and 9-10 in the GLIAC.
SVSU's next game is Thursday, May 3rd at Madonna
University. Game time is 1 p.m.
