Fall to GLVC Opponents

Cardinals Fall to GLVC Opponents Battle Creek, MI - After the
final day of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) versus Great
Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference tournament, the Saginaw
Valley State University Softball team remains winless against
GLVC opponents. The Cardinals began the day facing the Greyhounds
of the University of Indianapolis. Freshman Christina Fuciarelli
(Washington/Harper Woods Regina) pitched a close game allowing
only five runs. But despite scoring three runs in runs in the
seventh inning, one of the those off of a home run from senior,
Tiffany Martin (Flushing), the Cardinals were not able to catch
the Greyhounds and lost the game 4-5. In the second game of the
day, Saginaw Valley was unable to stop the offensive power of
the University of Missouri- St. Louis as the Cardinals unable
to score a run the 0-7 loss. Saginaw Valley's record in now 10-20
overall and 3-7 in the GLIAC. The Cardinals next game will be
at home against Division III opponent Calvin College on April
25th. Game time is 3:30 pm.
