2006-07: Sat out season as a transfer from Michigan Tech.

Prior to SVSU: Red-shirted at Michigan Tech as a freshman before transferring to SVSU after 2005-06 season…played at Saugatuck High School for Coach Kevin Chipman for three seasons from 2002-04… was named Honorable Mention All-State as a junior and senior… named to All-Conference, All-County, and All-Area Dream Team twice… helped lead her team to conference and district championships as a junior and senior… named Academic All-State twice… voted class president… National Honor Society member and class salutatorian

Personal: Majoring in Criminal Justice… daughter of Tom and Sharon Saarela.
