| Kait Harris Chosen As GLIAC North Division "Player of the Week" |
| BAY CITY, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University senior setter Kait Harris (Essexville, Mich./Garber H.S.) has been chosen as the 2009 Week 8 GLIAC North Division “Player of the Week” it was announced by the league office. Harris led the Cardinals to a 2-1 weekend at the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Tournament held in Lansing, Mich. She recorded 112 assists, 25 digs, nine kills and two aces in three matches as SVSU defeated Drury University (Mo.) and Northern Kentucky University in three sets each before dropping a five-set affair to the University of Indianapolis. Harris also earned a spot on the 2009 GLIAC Crossover All-Tournament Team for her efforts, joining only five other GLIAC athletes and six GLVC players. Kait joins senior Allison Schlinkert (Week 6) and sophomore Annie Buxton (Week 4) as Cardinal volleyball players who have recently received the honor this fall. |
