| Cardnals Fall to Eagles, 8-1 |
| UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University tennis team fell to Ashland University, 8-1, this morning (Oct. 10) in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) match. The Cardinals lone win came from the #1 singles spot where foreign exchange student Yunjiao Shangguan defeated Ashland’s Victoria Goudy, 7-6 and 6-2. With the loss Saginaw Valley drops to 1-7 on the season and 1-7 in the GLIAC, while Ashland moves to 5-4 overall and 4-3 in GLIAC play. The Cards are back in action on Friday (Oct. 16) when they host GLIAC rival Grand Valley State University at 2:00pm. |
