| Men’s Golf In Third After First Round Of 2009 GLIAC Men’s Golf Championship |
| MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University men’s golf team traveled to Marquette, Mich. for the 2009 GLIAC Men’s Golf Championship and is positioned in third-place after the first round of competition at the Greywalls Course at the Marquette Golf Club. The Cardinals are +15 overall, and follow the University of Findlay (+14) and tournament leader Grand Valley State University (+13). Individually, seniors John Lange and Nate Kelly sit in a tie for fifth-place with scores of 73 (+2). Dieter Schulz (+5) is in a tie for 12th place while Rob Ronk and Brian King are listed next on the leaderboard in a tie for 19th at +6. Ferris State University’s Eric Lilleboe and GVSU’s Matt Malloure lead the field at -1 overall (70). Play continues at the Greywalls Course tomorrow, Oct. 4, at 11:20 AM for the Cardinals, as they are paired with Findlay and Grand Valley State for the second round. |
