| Bellsky Named Interim Head Track and Field/Cross Country Coach |
| UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University athletic department has announced that Jenny Bellsky has been promoted to Interim Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach of both the men’s and women’s programs immediately. Bellsky has served as an assistant coach on the SVSU track and cross country teams for the past three years. As an assistant, her main responsibilities included: meet management and coaching the distance, middle distance, long sprinter, and long hurdler athletes. During her first two years of coaching, she has had the opportunity to coach three All-Americans. “We have the utmost confidence in Jenny, she has been a part of the growth that these two programs have experienced over the past year, and we expect that will continue. She has done an outstanding job as an assistant in every aspect, and I anticipate nothing less from Jenny in this appointment," commented Director of Athletics Mike Watson. An alum of SVSU, Bellsky competed from 2002-06 on SVSU’s cross-country and track & field teams. She served as captain on both the cross-country and track & field teams. She was also a member of the GLIAC All-Academic team. Bellsky graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and recently earned her Masters of Business Administration degree in accounting. Bellsky is a native of Frankenmuth, Michigan. |
