Cardinals Run Out the Season at UW-Parkside

Parkside, Wisc. – In their final meet of the season, the Cardinal cross country teams traveled University of Wisconsin Parkside to compete in the NCAA Division II Regionals on Saturday. The women took home 14th place in the 6K event, while the men finished in 15th in the 10K event.
     Top finishers for the Cardinals were: Meagan Strohkirch (Gladwin)(52nd), Sarah Johnston (Grand Blanc)(76th), Diane Johnston (Grand Blanc)(79th), and Rikki Owczarzak (Bay City/Western)(86th) for the women. For the men, Tim Watkins (New Boston/Riverview Gabriel Richard) finished 61st, Mark Crews (Bay City/Western)(71st), Pedro Ortega (Saginaw/Swan Valley)(77th), and Rob Samborn (Bay City/Western) finishing 91st.
    The teams will hold their awards banquet on campus on Monday, November 5.
