Rudey ran 17:32.14 in the 5000 meters at the Hillsdale Gina Relays which qualifies her for the Junior USATF National meet June 22-26 in Carson, California. This time also provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA Outdoor Nationals in Abilene, Texas.

Week 11 (Apr. 18)

Samborn placed first in the javelin at the SVSU Invitational with a throw of 164-9.

Johnston ran her best time of the season in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:58.92.

Week Ten (Apr. 11)

Rinehart had a personal best throw of 151' 8" in the hammer throw at the Ferris State Invite.

Christie won the pole vault at Ferris State with a height of 11 feet.

Week Nine (Apr. 4)

Schmit won the 5,000 meters at the Edmonds Invitational with a time of 15:57.27.

Briggs won two events at the Edmonds Invitational with a height of 5' 0" in the high jump and a distance of 118' 2" in the javelin.

Week Eight (Feb. 28)

Adams threw a personal best in the GLIAC meet in the shot put with a toss of 51' 11".

Horton, Mich./Hanover-Horton

Phelan ran a personal best in the 5000 meters at the GLIAC meet by over one minute with a time of 18:50.25.

Week Seven (Feb. 21)

Berkley, Mich.

Jozwiak ran a season and personal best of 1:55.61 in the 800 meters at the CMU Jack Skoog Open.

Rasmussen jumped a season best in the high jump (5' 2.25") at the CMU Jack Skoog Open.

Week Six (Feb. 14)

Baranek won the 400 dash at the Findlay Open with a time of 50.06. This was the first time he ran this event as an individual.

Gallier placed first in the 400 dash at the Findlay Open (58.37) and also ran a leg on the 4x400 relay that ran its best time of the season (4:02.89).

Week Five (Feb. 7)

Gale placed first in the 3000 meter run, finishing in a meet record time of 8:42.66. The Cardinals went on the take first place as a team at the D2 Team Challenge in Findlay, Ohio.

Lisa Fair
Junior, 5-10
Troy, Mich./Athens

Fair was an all-around threat this weekend at the D2 Team Challenge. She had the Cardinals' top individual finish, taking second place in the 60 hurdles (9.23). She also ran the 400 meter leg on the 5th place distance medley relay and the anchor leg on the 6th place 4x400 meter relay team.

Week Four (Jan. 31)

Vassar, Mich.

Germain was a part of two relays at the Alltel Classic. He ran the second leg of the first-place distance medley relay that posted a time of 10:11.89 and defeated the second-place squad by 10 seconds. He also ran the final leg in the 4x400 relay that finished second with a time of 3:24.21.

Becca ran a personal best and won the mile at the Alltel Classic in Findlay, Ohio with a time of 5:13.83. She also ran the final leg of the distance medley that finished first (12:35.53).

Week Three (Jan. 24)

Eltaro HooperEltaro Hooper
Freshman, 5-10
Ypsilanti, Mich. (Lincoln)

Eltaro won the high jump at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational on Jan. 21 with a height of 6-10 that tied a meet record. Earlier this indoor season, Eltaro qualified provisionally for the NCAA II Indoors with the same height of 6-10.

Sophomore, 5-8
Saginaw, Mich. (Heritage)

Jessica won the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.75 at the SVSU Invitational on Jan. 21. She also ran a leg on the 4x400 relay that placed second (4:10.97).

Week Two (Jan. 17)

Adam RoachAdam Roach
Junior, 6-2
Port Huron, Mich.

Adam won the 800 meters at the Cardinal Collegiate Open with a time of 1:58.51, winning by almost two seconds. In addition, he ran the third leg of the distance medley as SVSU won that event in a time of 10:47.72.

Ashley BishopAshley Bishop
Junior, 5-11
Pickford, Mich.

Ashley broke her own record in the weight throw and established a new school record with a distance of 55' 8" at the Cardinal Collegiate Open. She won the event by six feet and her throw was a provisional qualifier. She also placed second in the shot put with a throw of 42' 9".

Week One (Dec. 13)

Saginaw, Mich.
(Swan Valley)

Mario jumped 7' 0" in the high jump at the Holiday Open and nearly broke his own indoor school record missing it by half an inch. Mario also won the event and qualified provisionally for the NCAA Indoor Championships with his jump of 7 feet.

Mary Jo PouillonMary Jo Pouillon
Junior, 6-0
Owosso, Mich.

Mary Jo placed second in the shot put at the Holiday Open with a throw of 46' 9" which also set a personal best and was also a provisional mark. She also placed sixth in the weight throw with a throw of 48' 8".
