THREE ATHLETES QUALIFY FOR THE U.S. JUNIOR NATIONALS

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State will be well represented at this year’s U.S. Junior Nationals with three student-athletes breaking qualifying marks this spring. Freshman Justin Thomason (Port Huron, Mich.) will compete in the 400 meters after establishing a time of 48.07 earlier this spring. Thomason is scheduled to compete in the prelims on Friday, June 25 at 7:10 pm with the finals following on Saturday, June 26 at 7:29 pm.
    Freshman Len Weddell (East Tawas, Mich./Tawas Area) will compete in the 1,500 meters establishing a time of 3:56.71 during the outdoor season. Weddell will run in the prelims on Friday, June 25 at 6:05 pm and the finals are set for Sunday, June 27 at 5:33 pm.
    Freshman James Gale (Westland, Mich./Livonia Churchill) will compete in the 10,000 meters having ran a time of 32:08.61 during outdoor competition. Gale will run in the finals on Friday, June 25 at 7:59 pm.
    This year’s event is being held on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas at Frank G. Anderson Track & Field Complex on June 25-27.
