Moody
Hired to Guide Men’s Soccer Program
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University
has announced the hiring of Art Moody as assistant coach for both
the men’s and women’s soccer programs. Moody served
as the interim head coach for the Cardinal men’s squad during
the 2004 season, leading the team to a 6-5-2 overall record and
2-2-1 in the GLIAC.
Moody’s duties including serving
in capacity as the head coach of the men’s soccer team and
assisting in day-to-day operations with both the men’s and
women’s programs.
Director of Soccer Programs Drago Dumbovic is pleased with the outcome
of the search for a permanent assistant.
“Art will do a great job for
SVSU. He has already proved his worth as a coach and he is familiar
with his surroundings here and with the conference and NCAA,”
Drago noted. “We are more than pleased to have Art as part
of our program.”
The Cardinals will hold an open tryout
for high school seniors and college students on Saturday, April
