                                           Cardinals Defeat Oilers

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University’s men’s soccer team closed out the regular season by defeating the University of Findlay by a final score of 7-2. The win moved the Cardinals to 8-6 overall on the year.
     Saginaw Valley was lead by Claudio Cicchetti (Ancaster, Ontario/St. Thomas Moore) who registered three goals on the day. Matt Urick ( Novi, Mich.) also had multiple goals, as he was responsible for two goals in the second period of play. Robert Alexander (Midland, Mich.) rounded out the scoring, as he found the back of the net for his thirteenth goal of the season. Senior keeper Adrian Thomas (Marvel, Trinidad & Tobago/Queens Royal) picked up the win in net for SVSU, in the last regular season game of his career.
