Pierce Earns First Team All-GLIAC Honors

University Center, Mich.- Sophomore goalkeeper Grant Pierce (Franklin, Tenn.) was named to the 2001 GLIAC All-Conference First Team. Pierce posted five wins including two shutouts in the 2001 campaign.
     GLIAC champion mercyhurst had eight players on the All-GLIAC squad (four first-team and four second-team).  Findlay had five players, while Ashland and Gannon had three. Pierce was the lone representative from SVSU.
