                           Wright Named GLIAC North Player of the Week

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University guard Terrence Wright (Saginaw, Mich./Buena Vista HS) was named the GLIAC North Division Player of the Week. Wright averaged 23.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game over the holiday break, and helped the Cardinals go 3-2 during that span. He posted a career-high 36 points against Kentucky Wesleyan College on December 30.
   Over the five game stretch Wright averaged 2.4 assists, 1.8 bocks, and 1.6 steals. He currently ranks eighth in the GLIAC in scoring, averaging 16.8 points per contest. The senior posted his second double-double of the season with 26 points and ten rebounds against Oakland City College (Dec. 28).
   The Cardinals are 8-5 (2-2 GLIAC) on the season. SVSU travels to Erie, Pa. to face the Gannon University Golden Knights on Thursday (Jan. 9) at 8:00 p.m.
