Midnight Madness Set to Hit Campus

UNIVERSITY CENTER, MICH.- Saginaw Valley State University basketball programs' first appearance of the 2001-2002 season is set for Friday, October 12 beginning at 11 p.m. in the Cardinal Gym. The women's and men's basketball teams will participate in Midnight Madness, a fun-filled night of prizes, free food, player introductions, three-point shooting contests, and a dunk contest.
     The festivities tip-off the official beginning of the basketball season. There is no charge for admission.
     Both teams open their regular season on Friday, November 16. The men will compete in the GLIAC North/South Classic, which also opens their home schedule. The women head west to compete in the Wisconsin-Parkside Classic against host Wisconsin-Parkside. The women will return home for their home opener against University of Michigan-Dearborn on November 28 at 5:30 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 7:30 p.m.
