CARDS FINISH
NINTH OUT OF 19 SCHOOLS AT UNICCO FALL INVITATIONAL
TAMARAC, Fla. – In a star-studded field
at the UNICCO Fall Invitational, Saginaw Valley State finished
ninth out of 19 schools with a three-round total of 882 (+18).
Lynn University won the meet with an impressive score of 851 (-13).
The Cardinals finished higher than three other GLIAC schools and
were the best team north of the Mason-Dixon Line.
The Cardinals had their best round in
round two firing a team score of 288. Freshman Mike King
(Livonia, Mich./Catholic Central) shot a one-under par
71 during the round and finished tied for 21st with a total of
219 (+3). Sophomore Adam Miller (Gaylord,
Mich.) tied for 25th also shooting a one-under par 71 in
round two and finishing at 220 (+4). Junior Darren Husse
(Fenton, Mich./Hartland) was one stroke back at 221 (+5)
with an even-par 72 in the middle round. This is the final meet
of the fall season for the Cardinals, who last finished fourth
at the GLIAC Championships.
