Cards Finish Fifth
at GLIAC Tournament
ERIE, Pa. – The Saginaw Valley State University golf team
finished fifth out of five entries at the GLIAC Championships
competed October 6 and 7 at Lake Shore Country Club in Erie, Pa.
SVSU carded a three-day score of 907, finishing 23 strokes behind
first-place Wayne State. Grand Valley State’s Kevin Kremer
took home individual first-place honors, carding a three-day score
of 214 (73-73-68).
The Cardinals’ top finisher
was sophomore Darren Husse (Fenton, Mich./St.
Thomas Moore HS), who finished in a tie for fifth place with
an overall score of 220 (75-74-71). Freshman Adam Miller
(Gaylord, Mich.) was SVSU’s other top-20 golfer
for the tournament, finishing with a three-day score of 226 (79-73-74)
that placed him in a tie for 14th.
