Cardinals Grab Fifth Place Finish

O’FALLON, Mo. - The Saginaw Valley State University golf team took fifth place at the Rivermen Invitational hosted by the University of Missouri-St. Louis this past weekend (Mar. 15-16). SVSU finished with a two-day score of 634, 41 strokes behind first-place Lindenwood University (593).
Senior Jerry Hoefling (Saginaw, Mich./Valley Lutheran HS) paced the Cardinals with a two-day score of 154, including a 72 in his final round. Darren Husse (Fenton, Mich./St. Thomas Moore HS) posted a 157 in the two-day tournament. Ryan Waier (Saginaw, Mich./Heritage HS) finished with a 158 for the event.
The Cardinals return to action on March 22nd, at the Regional II - Falls of the Rough Invitational, in Highland Heights, Ky.
