     Brandon Johnson begins his first year at Saginaw Valley State and will serve as the wide receivers coach.

Johnson comes to Saginaw Valley State after spending one year at Saint Joseph’s College in Indiana where he served as offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach.

Johnson played collegiate football at Western Michigan University and was a three-year letterwinner at wide receiver. He was named Most Improved Player for the Broncos in 2001.
Johnson worked as a volunteer in the Kalamazoo community and also coached youth football during his college days.

Johnson earned a bachelor of science degree from WMU in 2003 with a major in criminal justice and a minor in sociology. He is a native of Joliet, Illinois and attended Providence Catholic High School.
