Cardinals Host Media Day August 17

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University football team will host its annual media day on Saturday, August 17. All media are invited to speak with head coach Randy Awrey between 10:00 and 11:00am as the team prepares for the upcoming season. SVSU was picked to finish second in the league by the GLIAC football coaches in the 2002 pre-season poll, released on Tuesday (August 6).
   The Cardinals will host a public scrimmage on August 24 at noon. The event is open to the public free of charge. SVSU opens the season with the 28th Annual Axe Bowl against Northwood in Midland, Mich., at 7:00 p.m.
