DiGiorgio Earns GLIAC Honors

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University freshman linebacker John DiGiorgio (Shelby Twp, Mich./Eisenhower HS) was named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday (October 30).
   DiGiorgio, who helped SVSU to a 52-20 victory over Ashland, tallied a career-high eight tackles against the Eagles, and in the process picked up his first collegiate sack. He also recorded his first collegiate interception and returned it 85 yards for his first career touchdown.
   The Cardinals (4-0, 3-0) are back in action Saturday (Oct.5) when they host the University of Indianapolis for Homecoming at 12:00pm.
