Cards Split a Pair

FORT MYERS, Fla. - SVSU took out its frustrations of its first loss of the season with a 17-run outburst over Lock Haven University before losing the nightcap to Mansfield University 12-6 on Friday.
Game one was a one-hit gem for Rob Conley (Elliot Lake, Ont.), who kept the Lock Haven bats silent while SVSU bullied the Bald Eagles' pitching staff. Sean Odamura (Mississauga, Ont./Lorne Park) hit a grand slam and racked-up six RBI's.
In the nightcap, Scott Corby (London, Ont./AB Lucas) suffered his first loss of the season for SVSU. Adam Piggott (Sarnia, Ont.) hit his second homerun of the season, a three-run blast.
The Cardinals will rematch Mansfield tomorrow with a 11 a.m. game to close-out the Florida trip.
