UNIVERSITY CENTER -- Inclement weather has forced the cancellation of Saturday's baseball double header between Ashland University and Saginaw Valley State University.
     The Cardinals were hoping to face the NCAA Division II No. 20-ranked Eagles on their home SVSU Baseball Field. Due to scheduling quirks, SVSU has met Ashland in Ohio each of the last two seasons. Ashland advanced to the NCAA II World Series last season.
     SVSU is fresh from a 13-10 victory at Eastern Michigan University Thursday, giving Coach Walt Head his 25th win over NCAA Division I schools.
     The Cardinals have a 15-5-1 record and are 5-1-1 in the GLIAC, while Ashland is 19-10 overall and 6-2 in the league. The teams will try to hook up for a double header Sunday at SVSU, beginning at noon.
