SVSU Breezes by St. Mary's

UNIVERSITY CENTER- The Saginaw Valley State University men's baseball team defeated St. Mary's College in a non-conference game this afternoon by the score
of 12-6.

Freshman Mike Crawford (Lake Orion) recorded the win for the Cardinals. Crawford gave up eight hits, walked one, and struck out three. His season record improves to 3-0.

Leading the way for SVSU was junior Mike Condon (Utica) and senior Jason Valenzuela (Ontario, CA/Damien) who both had three rbi's on three for five batting. Jay Scott who is leading the Cardinals with a batting average over .450 was able to churn out three hits on five trips to the plate today.

SVSU improves their record to 31-10 overall and 19-5 in the GLIAC.

The Cardinals next game will be Saturday, May 5th when they will travel to face Gannon University in a double-header. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
