team was represented at the 2009 USATF Junior Nationals by freshman Nick Ekel (Elsie, Mich. / Ovid Elsie HS) who finished in third place with a time of 31:36.16 in the 10,000 meter run, beating his previous best by 28 seconds. Ekel’s third place finish was the best finish ever for anyone from Saginaw Valley. [
