Sara Brooks Clark

Art Dept. Faculty - Sara ClarkSara Brooks Clark received her B.F.A. from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois in the Spring of 1989. In 1991, she earned an M.F.A in ceramics from the Ohio University. A former studio director, Clark is currently working as the art technician and adjunct ceramic art instructor at Saginaw Valley State University.

Following her one person show during April and May of 2002 at the Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph, Michigan Clark went on to be juried into the Michigan Potters Association Michigan Ceramics 2002 traveling exhibition with various venues throughout the state of Michigan, including Birmingham/Bloomfield Hills, MI, Oct/Nov 2002, Dennos Museum, Traverse City, MI, Dec. 2002- Mar. 2003, Space 237.

National exhibitions include shows in Louisiana, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Missouri, and Ohio.

Described as quirky and whimsical by colleagues Clark's work is a playful look at the perception and presentation of form and fantasy by today's fashion and trend conscious society.

Clark is currently preparing for an exhibition at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, OH in January of 2005
