| “The reputation of an institution is its capital ... [it] creates value for degrees granted. SVSU’s reputation must be developed — not merely to serve our vanities, but to reflect the true value of our institution.” – Eric R. Gilbertson |
When you talk to people about Saginaw Valley State University, you hear different things. Some people comment that SVSU “sure is growing.” Others make mention of the beautiful campus, and that SVSU is “really taking off;” still others reference the past with “I remember when ...” observations. The challenge is to market the best of SVSU and to do so with clearly, concisely and consistently told messages that showcase SVSU people and their successes.
Our advertising and publications are undergoing changes that will convey a sense of SVSU as a place that offers quality and value, where exciting things happen, and where achievement is not only possible, but recognized and rewarded.
Elements of the campaign have already been introduced including billboards and print advertising in area newspapers. Be on the look out for something more. Something better.
