The Saginaw Valley State University athletic department announced a fresh and exciting change as they unveiled a new Cardinal logo that will be used by SVSU's 17 varsity teams and in all facets of the department.
"This new logo represents a new chapter in Cardinal history," said interim athletic director Dr. George Eastland. "It is designed to represent what the university is all about, a modern and dynamic institution. We cherish our valuable traditions and the old Cardinal logo has served us well, but we must be able to change with the times and give our student-athletes a new emblem to embody their competitive spirit."
The new Cardinal logo development is part of ongoing efforts by the Office of University Communications to strengthen and modernize SVSU's visual identity.
