The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented in the spring to a graduate of SVSU based on outstanding achievements in the individual's chosen profession and service to the Alumni Association, the University, and/or the community.
The Outstanding Alumni Award is presented to an alumna or alumnus of the five Colleges at Saginaw Valley State University, in recognition of remarkable professional success and the positive reflection made on the reputation of all graduates of the respective College and the University.
The Honorary Alumni Award is presented in the fall to a non-graduate of SVSU based on outstanding support of the University.
