Faculty Development
One of the goals for the Office of Adjunct Faculty Support Programs is to assist Adjunct Faculty in developing their skills as instructors. We offer workshops and orientations to help instructors become familiar with the University's resources and procedures. The Office of Adjunct Faculty Support Programs as well as other departments at the University offer workshops to help instructors develop themselves professionally.
The Office of Adjunct Faculty Support Programs piloted two programs in the 2008-2009 Academic Year. The Adjunct Faculty Development Plan featured a group of select individuals who spent the year developing themselves through a variety of activities. The Adjunct Faculty Development Funding Plan gave adjunct faculty the opportunity to receive financial assistance to attend conferences, workshops, meetings, and presentations to further develop their substantive discipline area and teaching experience. Both programs have been approved for the 2009-2010 academic year and adjunct faculty may use the following forms to apply for funding opportunities
