Evening Services was established to assist adjunct faculty in providing quality academic instruction. The following is a list of services available through this office:
Campus Events
The office will promote campus events of interest of interest to SVSU students, faculty and staff.
Computer Work Stations
There are two computer work stations located in Evening Services. These machines have internet access, printer access, Microsoft Office Suite and WordPerfect Office and are jump drive ready. Adjunct faculty may also use any of the open computer labs throughout campus.
Copies/Duplicating
Photocopy machines are available for adjunct faculty use. Jobs of more than twenty copies should be sent to the SVSU Graphics Center. One week lead time is required. Check with your department chairperson to determine what the department's budget allows. See alsdfjl;asjdf for the form needed to submit attached copies of documents for copying in advance of your class.
Exam Scanning
A scantron scanner is available for you to scan your exams and print reports of the results.
Mail Boxes
Our office can receive your campus mail. If you choose to use Evening Services for this purpose please check your mailbox each time you come to campus. Messages or work from students, some university communications, textbooks and related materials will be sent to this mailbox. Outgoing mail can be placed in the outgoing mail bin near the student work station.
Make-up Exams
If you choose to let your students make-up missed exams, Evening Services can administer make-up exams to students for you. Make-up exam times are scheduled weekly in three hour blocks throughout the semester. Ask the Evening Services staff for the form necessary to give these exams and for the make-up exam schedule.
Student Papers and Assignments
The Evening Service staff will collect student papers or assignments in our office, SE210. Student papers or assignments may be returned to students using this location as well.
Voicemail
If you stop by our office at the beginning of the semester, our staff will assign you a four digit Voicemail number. You will be able to check your messages from your cell, home or office phone. The voicemail system includes a tutorial for setting up your mailbox and recording a greeting. Students will dial 989-964-4092 and enter in the four digit number to access your voicemail.
