Political Science
SVSU offers a variety of degree options in Political Science, and the class offerings reflect the four traditional areas of political study: political theory, American political institutions, public policy, and international relations.

- Political Science (PS) faculty members are productive scholars who have written thought provoking books and articles in their field and frequently invite students to participate in scholarly research projects.
- Graduates of the PS program have demonstrated success in nationally recognized graduate programs and law schools.
- Program guides students to become strong writers; as a result, PS students have won SVSU’s Braun Award for Writing Excellence a total of six times in recent years.
- Average class size is only 24 students, allowing for meaningful interaction between students and faculty.

A focused interdisciplinary degree comprised of classes in Accounting, Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology, for students who wish to work in the public sector.
