Learning Facilities
The Department of Modern Foreign Languages has full-service facilities that enhance learning in all languages offered:
- 24-position CALL (Comptuer Assisted Language Learning) lab equipped with Sony/Sans Virtuoso Major and Soloist software.
- Software programs coordinated with the first year French, German, and Spanish textbooks are available for students.
- Foreign language word processing programs, grammar, verb drills, and a wide selection of foreign language CD-ROMs that cover culture and language in a variety of formats.
- A modern Media Center which includes video tapes in French, German and Spanish (and other languages by request) of news broadcasts, films and general programming; as well as dictionaries in French, German and Spanish, grammar reference books and tapescripts are available for students' use. There are also periodicals in French, German and Spanish.
