SVSU students are admitted to the Nursing major each year during the fall and winter semesters, after having completed a core of pre-nursing courses.
Students must submit an application in the Dean's Office (Wickes 280), and a limited number of applicants will be chosen by a selection committee for admission to the major.
A limited number of high school seniors are admitted to the Nursing major as freshmen. High school seniors who score 26 or higher on the ACT and have a GPA of 3.5 may be admitted as freshmen to the major upon successful completion of a writing test and an interview during senior year.
More details on selection criteria, requirements, and the application process, are available at the Nursing Department Web site.
