The globalization of business offers unprecedented opportunities to individuals with a combined background of business and foreign language. SVSU’s International Business program was developed and initial resources were obtained by a 1996 grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

Why SVSU?

  • More than 90% of the faculty of the College of Business & Management (CBM) belong to a professional or service organization, providing diverse networking opportunities for students.

  • Students are linked with mentors who teach by example and share “real world” experiences.

  • 75% of the faculty of the CBM have industrial or corporate work experience. And 90% of the faculty hold a Ph.D., the highest degree in the field of business.

  • The CBM works with over 30 regional businesses (from small family businesses to Fortune 500 companies) to create internships for its students.

  • The Boutell Citizen’s Luncheon Program is hosted 2-3 times each year, and students can meet and interact with regional business leaders.
