According to the Department of Labor Statistics, electrical engineers should have favorable employment opportunities for all occupations through 2014. Electrical Engineers work in analysis, design, manufacturing, testing, research, and/or system development. The following are a few job titles typical of an electrical engineer:
- Systems Engineer or Designer (electronics, power, computer or control)
- Applications, Test, or Product Engineer
- Research and Development Engineer
- Aerospace or Guidance and Control Design Engineer
- Integrated Circuit Design or Fabrication Engineer
Graduates of the SVSU EE Department have been employed by national and local companies, such as General Motors, Dow Chemical, Dow Corning, EDS and many other medium- and small-sized companies. Our graduates have been admitted to graduate programs at various well-known universities.
