Majors
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemistry -- curriculum
In addition to the standard major in Chemistry, an alternate program approved by the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is available. There is also a course of study with emphasis on Environmental Chemistry available.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry -- curriculum
An interdisciplinary major, with no minor required. A total of fifty-six hours in biology and chemistry is required. In addition a year of calculus, a year of physics, a year of a modern foreign language, and a semester of computer science are required.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Chemistry -- curriculum
An interdisciplinary major, with no minor required. Nineteen hours in finance, law, management, and marketing are required. Fifty-six hours of electives are required, including thirty hours of chemistry (with one 400-level course), seven additional credits in business courses, eight credits in physics, eight credits in mathematics, and one three-hour course in computer programming.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Physics -- curriculum
An interdisciplinary major, with no minor required. Two years of calculus and a computer programming course are required. Thirty credits in chemistry, including physical chemistry and one 400-level course are required. Twenty credits in physics, including nine credits at the 300-400 level. Finally, a year of a modern foreign language is required.
