Why SVSU?

Graduates of SVSU’s nursing program have the knowledge and skills necessary to be effective communicators, clinicians, and leaders in the 21st Century health care system.  A limited number of applicants are admitted to the major during the fall and winter semesters. The nursing program combines theoretical courses with an extensive clinical experience within Mid-Michigan. Nursing will relocate when the new Health and Human Services building opens in the Fall of 2010, complete with state of the art laboratories and classrooms.

Since being eligible, all programs in Nursing have been accredited by the official accrediting organization.

In 2005, the self-study and site visit occurred for accreditation renewal. Approval was received from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for the maximum ten years with no recommendations.
