Bachelor of Applied Studies Program

A specially designed bachelor program for associate-degree holders in applied, technical, or career-oriented fields.

What some local employers are saying about the B.A.S.

ABS: Applied Studies - Linda McEvoyLinda McEvoy, Delta

"My program of study is Bachelors of Applied Studies with a minor in Marketing. I chose this program for two reasons. First of all, SVSU accepted all of my credits from Delta College and applied them to my bachelor's degree. Secondly, SVSU has a very accommodating schedule of classes for the working person. I have never had a problem finding classes that would fit my schedule. I have consulted the counseling center a few times for some suggestions on scheduling and they have always been very helpful. I'm glad I chose SVSU! Going back to school when you are 34 is a challenge in itself and the teachers at SVSU have been great to work with! I would highly recommend the BAS program."

Other Student Perspectives

  • "This type of program is needed for an individual who desires career development while maintaining full-time employment. The benefits to the organization would be considerable..."
  • "An individual with such a degree would clearly demonstrate their ambition, hard work, and ability..."
  • "Any degree program that entices someone to return or continue their education is a betterment for the individual and for the community in which they work..."
